Improving digital capacities

The ESC ACADEMY PRO project, funded by European Union, aims at building up the transition towards the adoption of the European Student Card (ESC) initiative by improving the digital capacities of Higher Education Institutions.

To support the efficient adaptation of the education system to fit the digital age, the European Commission adopted two strategic priorities in Digital Education Action Plan:

DEVELOPMENT OF A HIGH-PERFORMING DIGITAL EDUCATION ENVIRONMENT

ENHANCEMENT OF DIGITAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • INFORMATION

In line with such priorities, the European Student Card (ESC) initiative aims to strengthen the European Education Area (EEA) by putting information at the fingertips of students. This digital identification will foster the free flow of information and knowledge while replacing the former plastic card, contributing to green and digital transformation.

  • SOLUTION

The European Student Card (ESC) initiative will develop an online one-stop solution for students to manage all the paperwork related to their mobility. Students, youth workers, and Higher Education Institutions will take care of the whole administrative process through one online tool, facilitating the flow of information between all the involved participants and institutions and making the whole exchange much more accessible. As a result, an increase in mobility among students would create a stronger sense of European belonging among the youth, one of the priorities of the European Union.

  • PARTNERS
The project will be jointly implemented by 6 partners: European Students’ Union, International Student Identity Card, Global Youth and Student Community, Federation of Estonian Student Unions, Student Chamber of the Council of HEIs, and Out of The Box Europe.
