Improving digital capacities

Paris ESC Academy Pro Event Summary March 26, 2024.

As a member of the ESC ACADEMY PRO consortium, GYSC organised an information and exchange
session on the issues of the European student card initiative at the Cité Universitaire Internationale
de Paris in the sumptuous setting of the Salon Honorat.
This event brought together from 9:30 am to 5 pm more than a hundred people from universities
and grandes écoles throughout France, in particular heads of international relations, IT services,
student services and administration. In addition, there were partners related to the services related
to the student card and its digitalization (GYSC, ISIC, SALTO) but also members of NTT Data, the SELP,
a major French card manufacturer and the implementation of the “hot stamp” of the ESC card and
finally some students.
During the various presentations, participants were able to discover:

  • A presentation of the ESC Academy Pro and its missions by GYSC
  • A presentation of the results of the survey on the state of CSE in France by GYSC
  • A presentation of the ESC Initiative Lot 1 by NTTData
  • Feedback from ESCP Europe (Director of Student Life and Head of International Relations) on
the implementation of the ESC standard with Q&A session.
  • Presentation of a practical case of a multi-service digital European student card in
    partnership with SALTO System.
  • Round table with all participants on the theme: In an environment without budget or time
constraints, how would you imagine that the European card could support institutions and
students before, during and after an international mobility project?
  • Roundtable Conclusions and Q&A

Throughout the day, all participants were able to ask questions online and these were answered
during dedicated moments.
We can welcome a satisfaction at the end of the day of all the participants on the quality of the
information disseminated, on the significant level of development of the ESC standard in France, on
the quality of the very relevant questions asked, on the experiences shared for the implementation
of the ESC, and finally on the quality of the reception and the relevance of the topics addressed.
